Some cool stuff I must share and after this one I PROMISE I'll write new educational journal. Think it's going to be baroque this time.
Anyway, this one here is soon to display her works at some very important international exhibitions. First one is here, in hometown, it's not international but state-wide. 10 of us were chosen from 75 well known and educated artists from Croatia. The opening is on February 18. so who's around - please come! There's going to be food!
I honestly didn't expect I'll get that one since there is so many talented young traditional graphic artists, I was afraid even to send my application. It turned out I'm one of most talented, the people form jury said so. Cool!
The other two are international bienale exhibitions, really fancy. I still have to send works over there which is kinda troubling. I'm worried what will happen to works during the shipment. Might as well bring them in person but there is 2000 km I should travel, there and back. It's very important for graphic papers to stay perfect, especially for that kind of exhibitions. Those here who know something about intaglio and similar techniques will know what I'm talking about.
And lastly, during summer, there's one residential program in Netherlands in which I would like to take part. It's completely funded but you need to have really awesome project to do there. Well, I haven't think of anything yet..
And it's kinda depressing not to spend summer here since we have the coolest sea, weather and people. So we'll see about that.
For me personally, it's great to be involved in High Arts again. Somehow after university I thought those times are over, needed to start working and making my way around. This is not a country full of opportunities and that, during the time, produced not so small amount of hidden frustration. I hope THOSE times are over for real, I really do.
Accordingly, I'm sketching whole bunch of drawings for that kind of stuff, and of course, dA won't be recognizing it, but I'm still going to post them.
And I'm still attending all sf/fantasy conventions around with my other works and jewelry
